Julie R. Ohayon, M.D., F.A.C.S

Dr. Julie Ohayon is a hand surgeon treating patients in San Diego, California, and the surrounding communities. Her approach to practice is focused on developing personalized treatment plans and addressing each of her patients’ unique concerns. Dr. Ohayon holds certification from the American Board of Surgery and is a member of professional organizations including the American College of Surgeons and the California Medical Association.

For her undergraduate degree, Dr. Ohayon attended Stanford University, graduating with distinction as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She pursued her medical degree at Harvard Medical School. Here, she graduated cum laude and achieved honors in the field of health policy. Dr. Ohayon received her residency training in general surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, and completed a hand surgery fellowship program through the University of Connecticut Health Center and affiliated facilities.

Patients visiting Dr. Ohayon can receive a full range of medical services. She provides wrist arthroscopy, x-ray imaging, hand surgery consultations, and evaluations for worker’s compensation and disability. Treatment is available for issues including tendonitis, wrist pain, trigger finger, contractures, and hand injuries. In addition to practice, Dr. Ohayon has prepared publications on topics including liver transplants and gender bias in medical publications.
